Maloney Amsterdam is a leading camera and lighting rental company for the professional market. We rent equipment to feature films, series, commercials, music videos, corporate films, content creators, you name it.

We distinguish ourselves by the wide and modern equipment range; from an iPhone 16 to an Alexa35. We not only have high-end traditional brands but after much research and testing we also offer newer brands for everyone's budget.

Our extensive selection includes not only camera and light but also photography, grip, sound, location accessories, a DJ set for your wrap party, editing laptops or beamers for example. Should we not have something in house, there are almost always possibilities to hire something or to refer you.

Of course you can come and test your equipment the day before. You are also welcome to test if you want to get familiar with certain equipment or want to compare lenses.

Our goal is to provide the best equipment for your project and give an honest advice. We have a lot of technical knowledge in house by colleagues from a variety of disciplines with many years of set experience. We are happy to help you with all your questions!

Because filming also happens on weekends, we are open 7 days a week and can be reached 24/7 in case of emergencies. On weekdays we are open from 08:00 - 18:00 and on weekends from 09:00 - 16:00.

History

Maloney was founded in 2014 by Max Maloney in a basement on Marnixstaat. It started with renting equipment to friends, then to friends of friends and that kept growing until there was no floor space left and in 2016 we rented an office in Amsterdam West. A beautiful office was found in Bos en Lommer where we were able to expand to 1,000m2 in recent years.

Camalux

Since September 2024, Maloney is also part of the Camalux group. This is a new partnership between Camalot (NL & BE), Lux & Co and Maloney Amsterdam. Our partnership came about because we believe we are stronger together: three leading camera and lighting rental companies, each with our own specialty and niche in which we complement each other well. This allows us to invest smarter and deliver a wide range of equipment at the best price.
